Cakerator is a family owned cake studio in Raleigh North Carolina. We can be described as a cakery that creates cakes into sculpted works of art, where you can order an outrageous cake sculpture to a elegantly designed wedding cake, whatever your wish, we can create it in cake.
Spring of 2005 is where it all began, my spouse and I got tired of the local grocery store cakes for our children’s birthdays, the cakes were always dry and the buttercream too sweet for our taste, and it was always hard to find a cake made to match each of our kids personalities, they were all to generic looking, mostly of Disney characters which our kids were never into anyway, so we took matters into our own hands. We decided to use our artistic backgrounds, and our love for sculpting, painting, drawing, and instead of paints, clay, and canvases, we create art with buttercreams, chocolates and cakes.
Our mission is simple:
We are not like any other bakery, we at Cakerator like to express our artistry in each cake we do. Our philosophy is to create cakes that are edible works of art so full of detail they captivate the senses, everything you see on our cakes are hand sculpted and edible.
No two cakes are alike; every cake we designed is tailored to each unique customer. Every cake should encompass the personality of each individual for their special event, and next to you, your cake should be the other center of attention, we promise not only will your cake look amazing it will taste delicious too.
Because we can’t compete with the local grocery prices, we don’t offer simple designed sheet cakes, but call us when no ordinary cake will do, let us help you make your event special by creating a center piece your guests are sure to be talking about. The most asked question we get often is “is that a cake?!”.
We have something for everyone. do you want to learn some caking techniques, good because we love to share some of our cake knowledge too, so check back often for upcoming classes.
