Hey! It’s Alyssa the intern! This was the first cake I got to work on with Maria so I’m going to describe the whole process to you guys!
Maria was really cool and let me come up with my own design for the first cake we did together. The first step in the whole process was sitting down and discussing the event we were creating the cake for. She donated the cake to an organization called United Way that was auctioning cakes to raise money for at-risk girls to attend a camp. We tossed around several ideas before deciding that since we were donating the cake we could have creative license and do whatever we wanted.
I know I have not posted since May, but seriously I have been super busy, I mean I don’t just do cakes, you know what I mean. But yes I am still alive and kicking incase you were wondering. Also I have a new addition to our family, (intern soon to be a permanent fixture here because I love her so much) a Big welcome to Alyssa. She is such a fast learner and an absolute joy to be around. So expect to be hearing from her soon, as a matter of fact let me have her introduce herself now. (more…)
