Q. I don’t see prices for the cakes on your website, how much do they cost?

A. The cost of each cake all depends on the serving size and complexity of the design, and since our cakes are all custom tailored to each customer we do not have set prices, however we require a minimum of $250 for all celebration cakes and $750 on wedding cake.

 

Q. Wow, why are your cakes so expensive?

A. It would seem expensive if you are comparing us to Wal-Mart’s prices, but actually sculpted or custom tailored design cakes normally cost that much because you are paying for the design, the time, the materials, skilled labor, and servings of a piece of cake-art. If you compare our prices to lets say “The Cake Boss” I think we are pretty darn cheap!

 

Q. I really love one of your cake designs, can you send me the instructions on how to make it?

A. We do not have instructions or templates for our cakes, however we will be offering classes and selling tutorials online, also see our blog for free tutorials.

 

Q. Do you make gluten free, diabetic or kosher cakes?

A. Unfortunately at this time we do not offer cakes for those with dietary restrictions.

 

Q. Do you offer small cakes for about 10 people?

A. We do not offer cakes serving for less than 50.

 

Q. Do you offer sheet cakes, cupcakes, cookies or kitchen cakes?

A. We only specialize in sculpted cakes or custom design tiered cakes such as Wedding Cakes, or tiered Celebration Cakes.

 

Q. Do you use cake mixes?

A. No, all cakes are baked from scratch using the freshest ingredients.

 

Q. Do you ship your cakes?

A. We hand deliver all cakes, however if you absolutely want a cake from us, and you’re located outside of North Carolina, we can drive or fly the cake to your location, but keep in mind that the further the delivery the more the delivery cost will be.

 

Q. Do you offer cake tastings?

A. Yes, but only for wedding cakes, cake tasting are $35 to schedule an appointment which is applied to the total cost of your cake if you book with us.

 

Q. I found this beautiful wedding cake I would like to have recreated for my wedding, can you do that?

A. We do not like to replicate other cake artist designs, however we can create a cake that is inspired by it, but our specialty is to design a cake perfect, unique and custom tailored for your special event.

 

Q. I don’t see an address on your site, do you have a shop I can visit?

A.We are a home based legal and licensed cake studio, we do not have a store front, we schedule appointment and meet out clients in their homes for tastings and to discuss cake designs.

 

Q. Do you offer fake cakes?

A. Maybe other cakers do but we don’t, it cost the same amount of money and labor to decorate a fake cake as it does a real yummy one, whoever said it did is delusional and misguided a bunch of disappointed brides.

 

Q. Do you offer “naughty” cakes or cakes containing alcohol?

A. We are a family friendly cakery, and do not offer cakes with alcohol, nor do we design “naughty” adult themed cakes.
